Dena Spangler Cook

Public Relations/Praise & Worship Coordinator

Dena grew up in rural North Carolina and gave her life to Christ at the tender age of 12. As a young child, she traveled with her mom and grandmother as they would sing at various churches. Her job was to make sure her baby sister didn’t roll off the pew during worship. Sometimes she was successful, sometimes…. well, you can figure that one out. She is a self-described dork, who can deliver a one-liner better than most comedians. She enjoys watching crime mysteries and thrillers and annoying her husband by announcing the ending before it happens.

Dena has been involved in women’s ministry for over 20 years. In giving her testimony, she gets real in sharing about her divorces, yes, you read that right, and her intense feelings of failure. She also shares how The Lord helped her overcome depression, guilt, and shame. While finding the positives in any situation, she also shares some self-deprecating humorous stories of her life experiences. As a speaker and praise and worship leader, Dena shares her heart and what the Lord has done to heal her brokenness throughout the years. Growing up in a musical family, her heart has always been drawn to praise music. As a self-proclaimed “Bapticostal”, she brings humor, spunk and joy to her worship.

Dena is the Praise and Worship leader as well as Public Relations/Promotions director for Fragrance Ministries. “I can’t think of a greater calling than to be able to worship alongside of my fellow sisters in praising our Savior. Every time we worship together corporately, I think to myself, THIS is what Heaven will sound like.”

Dena is a wife to Chris, mom to Brayden and mom-in-love to Jericho. If you would like to reach out to Dena regarding promotional material or making a donation to the ministry, you may email her at dena.fragranceministries@gmail.com .
