Teresa Davis

Teresa grew up in Hickory, North Carolina… she enjoys cruising with her husband, watching crime dramas on TV, eating chocolate, and playing solitaire video games at night. Of all the beautiful flowers in the world, her favorites are tulips. She has a great work ethic, loves being with her friends and sometimes laughs so hard that she pees in her pants… She had to grow up fast and has had the privilege to have some really amazing folks to care for her and show her how to make a difference in this world. 

At the age of nine, Teresa made the most important decision of her life; she asked Jesus Christ to become her Lord and Savior. After that decision, the Lord has guided her through every step of her journey. She is married to Rev. Dr. Eric Davis and they have been involved in ministry for over 40 years.  They have lived in Cleveland County, North Carolina for over 30 years and are the parents of two outstanding sons, Alex and Tyler. Alex is married to Amberlee and they have two sons: Anderson and Archer. Tyler is married to Stephanie, and they have two sons: Eli and Jeremiah. In addition to her passion to serve the Lord through Women’s Ministry, Teresa has loved being “Mimi” to her amazing grandsons! 

Teresa  has served on staff at Gardner Webb University since 2003 and works in the Office of Christian Life and Service/ Campus Ministries. She enjoys the many opportunities she has had to minister to University students and has led a great number of mission trips for Gardner-Webb. She and Eric have coordinated numerous mission trips in the US as well as several other countries. 

Women’s Ministry has been her focus for well over 25 years and that desire to minister to women all began while on a mission trip to Cape Town, South Africa in 1997. During that trip, she and a couple of other mission team members ministered to over 180 South African ladies. Since that time, Teresa has successfully organized many women’s events including weekend retreats, conferences, prayer gatherings, bible studies and other women’s activities.

“Fragrance Ministries” is an expression of Teresa’s passionate desire to offer the Lord her very best. Through the guidance of the Lord and encouragement from many supporters, she hopes to offer opportunities for ladies to come together to fellowship, laugh, cry, worship, share, pray, and grow in Christ as they support one another through inspirational gatherings.  

Ephesians 5:1-2 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
